I love doing this work because, at my core, I love helping people: helping learners get the information they need, helping organizations find an efficient way to solve a problem, or helping individuals tell their story. I am drawn to the challenge of confronting complex information, learning about it, and finding simple ways to explain it to others.

Originally from the central coast of Florida, my career has led me to:

• Saint Augustine, FL where I earned my BA in History & Policial Science

• Bethlehem, PA where I earned my MA in History

• Edinburgh, Scotland, UK where I earned my PhD and taught at the University of Edinburgh

• Portland, OR to work at Nike, Inc. as a Training Manager and Learning Design Manager

• Busan, So. Korea where I work as an independent consultant and an English tutor

Throughout the past 20 years, I have honed my skills in teaching, research, analysis, learning design, development, visual communication, writing, and project organization. I have worked with universities, museums, fortune-500 companies, small businesses, and individuals.

My personal time is spent playing with my family and dog, cooking, running, and playing tabletop games.
